A magnificent bronze statue to commemorate fallen Navy Seal Chris Kyle is being created and we at TheTeaParty.net are proud to be working with the sculptor, Greg Marra, to help him raise funds to honor this great American hero. Chris Kyle’s widow, Taya, recently sent a letter talking about this project and we want to share it with you.
LETTER FROM TAYA KYLE: Greg Marra is a classically trained artist with a master's degree in sculpting from New York Academy. What impressed me most about Greg is his desire to bring his talent to a realm so few artists will. That realm is reality for patriotic Americans who are not afraid to acknowledge guns and/or religion as it was in life for the people Greg is representing. Greg's heart, soul and passion for creating sculptures representing the entire person, as they were in life, made it easy to bring our loyalty to the sculpture of Chris. In a world overly concerned with political correctness, Greg's dedication to accurate representations of the people involved in history is refreshing. Our family found great comfort and healing in working with an artist so concerned with getting it right. He embraced and involved all ages and opinions of Chris' friends, family and teammates down to the smallest detail, in his desire to accurately represent the man we love.
